29TH ACEEEO ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Now in its 29th year, Delian supported the ACEEEO AGM with a panel discussion on dealing with disinformation by external actors during elections. The conference was delivered virtually this year as a result of the on-going pandemic.
Delian was pleased to co-host with ICPS the international virtual round-table discussion on the challenges of hosting elections during a pandemic. Speakers included the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the Independent Election Commission of South Africa.
19TH INTERNATIONAL ELECTORAL AFFAIRS SYMPOSIUM AND INTERNATIONAL AWARDS, SOUTH AFRICA
Delian contributed to the 19th IEAS and international awards in South Africa with presentations on cyber influence and disinformation in elections. The two-day event ran from 17-19 February 2020 in Durban, with Elections Ontario winning three awards.
LAUNCH OF THE ELECTORAL PSYCHOLOGY OBSERVATORY, LONDON, UK
Delian was very pleased to be represented at the formal launch of the Electoral Psychology Observatory at the London School of Economics on 6 February 2020, which was also Global Election Day. Funded through the European Research Council, the EPO aims to understand the emotions and motives that surround the larger voting population at election time.
ELECTION SECURITY-PERSPECTIVES FROM VOTING SYSTEM VENDORS AND EXPERTS
On January 9th various experts from the voting technology industry testified in front of the US Committee on House Administration regarding 2020 election security.
